This handmade Sputnik charm began as a dream in wax — meticulously hand-carved, shaped into form, and then cast into solid silver or solid 14k gold through the ancient lost-wax technique. Once cooled from its molten transformation, each vintage gemstone is carefully hand-set into place, catching light like distant stars and bringing this tiny orbital relic to life.
🔭 The Symbolism:
Inspired by the original 1950s Sputnik designs, these charms were born from a time of wonder, when humanity first looked to the stars and dared to reach them. They symbolise innovation, cosmic curiosity, and a bold leap into the unknown. The vintage gemstones nod to that era — brilliant remnants of a time when space felt close enough to touch. These charms were first worn as symbols of hope, exploration, and new beginnings. Their clustered form evokes a miniature starburst, a planetary satellite, or a celestial atom — orbiting with potential.
